Frequently Asked Questions

  • Cabinet refacing is a process of updating the look of your kitchen or bathroom cabinets without completely replacing them. Instead of tearing out your existing cabinets and installing new ones, cabinet refacing involves replacing the cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware, while leaving the cabinet boxes and frames intact. The process typically involves removing the old doors and drawer fronts, cleaning the cabinet boxes and frames, and then applying 1/4” solid wood or edgebanding visible surfaces of the cabinets. The new doors and drawer fronts are then installed, along with new hinge and drawer hardware, giving your cabinets a fresh, updated look and functionality. Cabinet refacing is often a more affordable and less time-consuming option than full cabinet replacement, and can be a great way to transform the look of your kitchen or bathroom without the cost and hassle of a complete remodel.

  • Most of our refacing jobs fall between $9,000-$18,000 with an additional $4000 to $8000 for quartz tops. I know that is a wide range but every kitchen and every home owner are unique in size, needs and wants. Also there are many variables and options which must be decided onsite. Therefore for an accurate quote we need to set up a free in home consult and measurement.

  • We only offer the highest end of Cabinet Refacing.

Cabinet refacing and refurbishing are both popular options for updating the look of your kitchen cabinets without completely replacing them. However, cabinet refacing is generally considered a better option than refurbishing for a few reasons:

Durability: Cabinet refacing involves replacing the cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware with new materials, while leaving the cabinet boxes intact. This means that the structure of the cabinets remains intact, providing a more durable and long-lasting solution than refurbishing, which simply involves applying a new finish to the existing cabinets. Refurbished cabinets may not hold up as well over time and may require more frequent maintenance.

Cost: Refacing is typically more expensive than refurbishing, but it is still significantly less expensive than replacing your cabinets altogether. While refurbishing may seem like a more affordable option at first, the costs can add up over time if you need to continually repair and maintain your cabinets.

Aesthetics: Refacing allows you to completely change the look of your cabinets by selecting new doors, drawers, and hardware. Refurbishing, on the other hand, simply refreshes the existing cabinets with a new finish. If you want to completely change the style of your cabinets, refacing is the better option.

Overall, while refurbishing may be a good choice for minor updates, cabinet refacing offers a more comprehensive and long-lasting solution for updating your kitchen cabinets.

  • Refacing and new custom cabinets are two different options for updating the look of your kitchen.

Refacing involves replacing the doors, drawer fronts, and hardware of your existing cabinets while keeping the cabinet boxes intact. The exterior of the cabinets will be updated with new materials, to give them a fresh look. Refacing is less expensive than replacing all the cabinets, but it still gives your kitchen a new and updated appearance.

New custom cabinets, on the other hand, involve tearing out the existing cabinets and building new ones to fit the space. Custom cabinets are built to your specific measurements and design preferences, and you can choose from a wide range of materials, finishes, and hardware options. Custom cabinets are more expensive than refacing, but they offer the most flexibility and customization.

Which option you choose will depend on your budget, the condition of your existing cabinets, and your design preferences. Refacing is a good option if your cabinets are still in good condition and you want to update the look without spending a lot of money. Custom cabinets are a better choice if you want a completely new look and have the budget to invest in custom craftsmanship.
